Tell us everything we need to know about Fandom Finery in two sentences.
Courtney: Fandom Finery
got its start when I began making my own soap for my son and myself due to some skin issues we have, and for fun I started naming the soaps after my favorite fandom characters. It kind of snowballed from there, and now I have over 50 characters represented in soap!
What fannish object would you love to own?
: I collect various printings of the Lord of the Rings novels -- a first-edition printing would leave me absolutely giddy.
Tell me about your craziest, weirdest, wonderful, or most poignant (you choose) fandom experience.
I wasn't even physically present for it! When I was pregnant with my son, I was unable to travel due to health complications, so I missed a convention I'd been planning on going to with my friends. I was a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, especially Axel, and his voice actor, Quinton Flynn, was going to be there. My friends waited in line to meet him, then explained why I wasn't there and asked if he'd record a message for me. He not only recorded a sweet message for me, he also sang a lullaby for my as-yet-unborn son. I treasure that video to this day!
